About us
Our story
Talk Works began in 2014 with a simple but powerful goal: to make high-quality mental health support in the North East accessible to everyone who needs it.
Founded by Clinical Psychologist Dr. Jennifer Cottam, our mission has always been to empower individuals and organisations to thrive through care, compassion, and evidence based solutions.
What started as a small practice has grown into a trusted provider of therapy and mental health education, serving thousands across the UK. We’re proud to have supported thousands of individuals on their journey to recovery and wellbeing, helping them rebuild confidence and clarity after experiencing mental health challenges.
We offer a range of services designed to meet diverse mental health support needs. Whether it’s rapid access to mental health support in the North East, online and in-person wellbeing programs, counselling in Newcastle or tailored training for workplaces, our goal remains the same: to help people feel better and do better, one step at a time.
Our values
